Tom grew up in the United Kingdom and received his undergraduate from the University of Aston. He moved to the United States and received an MBA from the University of Dallas, where he was one of the youngest students ever to graduate with his masters. He started a publishing company, which was listed in Inc Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in the USA. He was nominated by Earnst and Young as Entrepreneur of the year, and listed in Who’s Who of Young American Executives. He sold his publishing business to spend more time with his wife Julie and new daughter Samantha. While concentrating on his property business, Tom Mosey Properties, which has commercial real estate holdings in Texas, Connecticut and Florida, ranging form land holdings to commercial buildings and condominiums. His partner and college friend, Nick Angus, approached him with the idea to start an ice cream business in 1995. Wanting to concentrate on his international business background, Tom worked setting up Mini Melts factories around the world. Tom is especially proud to have worked in, and establish, Mini Melts in Korea because he and his wife adopted their son, James, from South Korea.
